It is that spooky time of year when ghosts and goblins have crept into our neighborhood. Lets welcome them with sweet treats and good times at the annual Commercial Park Halloween Party on October 31st from 2-3:15.
We need volunteers to bake one batch of cupcakes and deliver them to the park anytime on Friday the 30th or Saturday the 31st before noon. We really need your help! Please spread the word so there will enough cupcakes for everyone!
We are also looking for volunteers to help on the day of the party. We are specifically looking for 1 or 2 additional fortune tellers. The kids love to hear glimpses of what there future holds, can you help?

Join your friends at the park for some music and fun. Old Town School of Folk Music will be at the park from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, July14th. This event is free and open to everyone. Bring dinner-to-go and come on over!
Join in on the fun! The Fourth Annual Kids Fest is this weekend on Wolcott Street at Chicago Avenue. There will be bounce houses, pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, cookie decorating and the silent auction. The silent auction has some great stuff this year including a Cubs package, Sox package, Arizona and Indiana vacation home rentals, dinner and theatre tickets, salon treatments and great classes and programs for kids! This event is a success every year because the neighborhood spreads the word and brings friends and family. Keep it up! This Friday night join your friends and neighbors for a movie in the park. Kung Fu Panda will be shown at about 8:30. Come early, bring a picnic and enjoy a beautiful evening under the stars. Spread the word, it is a good time!
