2022 CPAC EVENTS
(UPDATED 1/13/2022- times and new events will be announced as they are finalized)
  • Egg Hunt:  Saturday, April 9, 2022.  There will be three different egg hunt times, based on age groups.
  • Earth Day Neighborhood Cleanup: Saturday, April 23, 2022
  • Blocktober Fest & Park Open House: Saturday, September 24, 2022, 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.  Grilling and games and maybe a performance or two.  Come meet the neighborhood!  Fingers crossed we can bring the bounce house out of Covid retirement…
  • Halloween at Commercial Park: Saturday, October 29, 2022, 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the parade starting at 3:30 p.m.  Please email us if you would like to hand out candy on the parade route!
  • Santa and S’mores, December 9th, 2022, 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Come make s’mores over a bonfire and visit Santa!
Please keep in mind that all our events will adhere to the Covid guidelines of the Chicago Park District.  Mask requirements, locations, and capacity limits may change for any of our events at any time. Thank you in advance for your understanding!  (Unless otherwise noted, all events will be at Commercial Park.)

ONGOING EVENTS

  • Green Team Growers: Every other Monday @ 4 p.m. at Snowberry (May through August- ON PAUSE)
  • Kids’ Art in the Park: The Chicago Public Library is hosting arts and crafts programs outside at the park on Thursdays, starting at 3:30, through September.  CPAC is looking for a great art teacher for our program… are you interested? Send us an email!!
  • Storytime: CPAC’s program is on pause for now, but the Chicago Public Library will be holding storytime outside at the park on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. through September, 2021.
  • Yoga: (ON PAUSE) Most Thursdays (& some Wednesdays during the summer) @ 6:45 pm (Community room, or outdoors when weather permits)
  • Commercial Park Advisory Council Meetings: 3rd Monday of the month @ 6:30 p.m.  Open to all.  Meetings are currently held over zoom- please email us for the link.)
