TEENS AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING WALK-A-THON
SATURDAY, JUNE 13
10 am–12 pm
Smith Park, Commercial Park and Wicker Park staff and volunteers have teamed up for a central region Walk-A-Thon against Human Trafficking. While this event is for teen awareness, all ages are encouraged and welcome to join. Please join in this Saturday to help raise awareness.
Start at Smith, stop at Commercial and then continue to Wicker.
It may be easy for many to ignore but Chicago is a major hub for human trafficking and here is a chance to raise awareness.
The park is redone and it’s time to GARDEN!!
Clean ups and Green Team Growers are open to all.
Green Team Growers is sponsored by CPAC (Commercial Park Advisory Council)
Green Team Growers sessions will be held on the dates below at 4pm
and are geared towards children 2-10 years old with a guardian
- April 25 – 9am – spring clean up
- May 18 – Green Team Growers – making seed balls
- May 23 and 24 – 9am – perennial garden clean up and planting
- June 8 – Green Team Growers – plant seed balls (wildflowers)
- June 22 – Green Team Growers – plant herbs/start a seed
- July 13 – Green Team Growers – ladybugs
- July 27 – Green Team Growers – butterflies
- August 10 – Green Team Growers – worms/compost
- September 14 – Green Team Growers – good bugs/bad bugs
