Commercial Park Advisory Council
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: As of today (5/20/25) the playground at Commercial Park is temporarily open. The potholes are gone!! Construction isn’t finished yet- there are a few more changes planned for the playground, and the field and basketball still have major upgrades coming, but for now, come play!

EXCITING NEWS! We just found out construction on the New and Improved Commercial Park starts next week!!
This means, of course, that there will be NO ACCESS TO THE PLAYGROUND, FIELD OR BASKETBALL COURT STARTING ON MONDAY, APRIL 28th. The field house will still be accessible, but the entrance will be through the back door on the southwest side of the building (through the parking area, next to the storage garage.)
Unless you are notified otherwise, all park programming will continue as scheduled. Please contact the park office at 312.742.7558 with any concerns.
We don’t have a re-opening date yet, but we will post updates as we receive them. Looking forward to celebrating a grand re-opening with everyone!
Join us at Commercial Park on Saturday, April 19th for our Annual Egg Hunt! There will be three different hunt times:
*10:30 a.m.- Kids 3-5
*11:00 a.m. – Kids 6-10
We will also have crafts and a special bunny appearance!
The event will take place rain or shine, but keeping our rabbit paws crossed for a sunny day and a dry field. And, like all our events, the party is free, but we really, really love donations! Happy Spring!
In keeping with our (unintended) bird theme for the season, we are happy to present MIGRATION! Bring a blanket or pillows and join us on Friday, March 14th at 6:00 p.m. in the Commercial Park gym. (Parents, if you are headed out for a St. Patrick’s celebration that evening, send your babysitter and the kids on over!)
Concessions will be available for purchase; cash or Venmo only, please.
Free Movie Night at Commercial Park!
We are excited to present The Wild Robot (if you haven’t seen it already, it is a fantastic film- 
from your friendly neighborhood park advisory council movie critic.)
Friday, February 7th at 6:00 p.m. in the Commercial Park field house; doors open at 5:30. Hope you can join us!
