The Commercial Park Advisory Council has lots planned this year; some of the old favorite events plus more community events than ever. Please consider getting involved. Either emailing us your ideas, volunteering for one or more events, chairing an event, helping with grant writing, or as little as baking a batch of cookies. All levels of help are greatly appreciated. Please email commercialparkinfo@gmail.com or call current board president at (312) 226-0970 with availability, interest or ideas.
Following is our proposed 2019 calendar of activities. Save the dates and consider getting involved!
- Friday, March 7th: Movie in the Park – Doors 5:30pm, Movie 6pm
- Saturday, April 13th: Egg Hunt– 10am to 11:30am – staggered start times based on age
- Saturday, April 27th: Earth Day – 9am start with food served to volunteers at noon
- Thursday, June 21st: Summer Movie in the Park – Incredibles 2 – starts at dusk
- Saturday, September 21st: Blocktober Fest
- Saturday, October 26th: Halloween Party – 2pm to 3:30pm, parade starts at 3:30
- Friday, December 13th: Holiday Party – NEW FORMAT!!! Crafts, holiday movie, bonfire and caroling!
