Hello all – Lots going on at the park…
With sadness, we need to share that we are losing Kathy Hamada, park supervisor, who is retiring from the park district after 30 years!!! Importantly, we wanted to invite you to a gathering to say thank you and farewell. Kathy has been a tremendous asset and we cannot even imagine her leaving us. But save-the-date and stop by the park 10/23 from 3-5 to wish her well in her retirement. Light refreshments will be served. Weather permitting it will be outside, otherwise in the yoga room of the field house.
And of course – don’t forget the Oct. 30 Halloween Party. Party is at 2, parade 3:15 sharp. Parade leaves from Commercial Park and route includes Rice, Wood, Iowa and Wolcott – back to park.
WE NEED — cupcakes for the party and Halloween costume donations.
Also save the date — Election Day bake sale Nov. 2. Baked good donations appreciated!
Reminder – Nov. 3, 6:30 Community Meeting to discuss plans with developer of the Proposed Chicago Bowl Music Venue and bowling alley adjacent to the park. Meeting in field house at Commercial Park.
See you in the parks!
