Commercial Park Advisory Council

Join Us the 3rd Tuesday of the Month at 7:30pm-ALL ARE WELCOME!!!

Who We Are

Park advisory councils are a separate and independent entity apart from the Chicago Park District. Their role is to provide recommendations and suggestions to the CPD regarding their respective parks and have no authority or power related to the Chicago Park District, city of Chicago or State of Illinois.  Park advisory councils act as the voice of the people who use the park and cooperate with the CPD in obtaining what is needed for their particular park.

The Commercial Club Park Advisory Council was formed in July 2000. The council is an all-volunteer non profit group of individuals from the community who meet on a regular basis and work with the park supervisor to support the effective functioning of the park. The Council works with park staff and advises them on the needs, desires and concerns of the community.

We are members of Friends of the Parks, West Town Chamber of Commerce, and CAPS. We are partners with the Chicago Park District and the East Village Garden Club.
